This is the first project of an international nature aimed at teenagers from many European countries: two residential weeks in London at Twin College in Greenwich, which hosted us in the mornings in English language classes divided by level classes. Two weeks of didactic-educational experiences in the afternoons dedicated to discovering the city, its museums, theaters and peculiarities, with tours led by native English speakers.
Thirteen male and female students from Italy, France and Turkey participated in the scholarships sponsored by the Foundation.
As many as 8 girls from different municipalities of Sardinia (Uta,Ozieri, Narcao, Villaspeciosa) participated in the study program in London for children of employees and non-employees, promoted and entirely offered by the Laviosa Foundation. In Sardinia,in fact, Laviosa has its own important office and is very keen to make its presence and proximity perceived even outside the Livorno area.
The girls joined students from Turkey, France, Livorno and Lucca to study for two weeks at an English college and participate in an afternoon educational program, accompanied by Professors Flavia Bertolli and Giovanna Lo Giacco.
The project is an investment of the Laviosa Foundation, whose mission is training and job support and whose President, Knight of Labor, Giovanni Laviosa particularly cared about.
In fact, knowing English is a very important prerequisite for access to the world of work, for cultural exchange and can be, in many cases even a form of social redemption.
