The Carlo Laviosa Foundation<\/strong> and the Municipality of Livorno<\/strong>, in collaboration with Fotoclub Nove<\/strong>, a FIAF 2283 (Italian Federation of Photographic Associations) affiliated club, and the DeFactory<\/strong> association, promoted the second edition of the “Photography and the World of Work<\/em>” competition. The 2019 edition had the theme “How industry interacts with landscape and social life.”
\nThe participants’ portfolios of five images were evaluated by the jury composed of Antonella Alboni (Carlo Laviosa Foundation board member), Marco Barsanti (photographer, printer and lecturer), Valeria Cioni (representative of Livorno City Council), Carlo Lucarelli (FIAF regional delegate for Tuscany) and Martin Vegas (ImageNation art director).
\nThe winner<\/strong> of the second edition of the photography competition is Lorenzo Leone<\/strong> of Naples.
\nSecond prize goes to Fabio Capaccioli of Rosignano Marittimo, third prize goes to Tiziano Donati of Piombino, fourth prize goes to Tony Martorelli (pseudonym of Paolo Ciriello) of Livorno, and fifth prize goes to Marco Marcone of Rome.
\nAlso awarded was the Targa Rotary Castiglioncello by President Massimiliano Barcali to Silvia Tampucci, of Livorno, for artistic qualities and creativity.
\nThe first selected will have a prize of 1,200 euros, the second selected 1,000 euros and the third 800 euros.
\nAwardees and those mentioned will have the opportunity to exhibit at the Paris Photo Off fair, as part of the ImageNation exhibition, curated by DeFactory Cultural Association, scheduled from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10, 2019, which is the month Paris dedicates to photography.
\nThe awardees’ portfolios are on display at the exhibition “How Industry Interacts with Landscape and Social Life” at the Granaries of Villa Mimbelli, Livorno, from Sept. 21 to Oct. 20, 2019.
\nAlso on display are shots extrapolated from the portfolios of Franco Biondi, Francesco Martinelli, Simona Simoncini, Elide Cataldo, Francesca Giari, Michele Cimini, Olmo Bisigato, Aldo Ciriello, Marco Barini, Simone Stefanelli, Laura Bolognesi, Laura Messina, Gabor Sos and Simona Moranino.
\nA total of 48 photographs are on display.
\nOn the occasion of the exhibition, a photo contest catalog was published with all the photographs exhibited at the Granaries of Villa Mimbelli.
